With the latest release of Xiaomi MIUI 12, MIUI 12.5, there is an Floating Window option to open an App in a floating screen that floats on top of all other apps. So you can use a floating calculator window when you are using Chrome as your main app.
How To Enable & Use Floating App Window in Xiaomi Mi 4c
Step 1: Go to the Recent apps screen on your Xiaomi Mi 4c by swiping up and holding ( if you are using gesture navigation ) or by clicking on the recent apps navigation icon.
Step 2: Now Search for the App you wanted to open in a floating window and tap and press and hold till you get the pop-up options.
Step 3: Now select the Floating window icon ( The third icon from the top like in the screenshot below). If the floating window icon is greyed out it means that application doesn’t support floating window feature.
Step 4: Now you will see floating app on top of other mobile app you are currently using. Now to mizimize the window you just have to tap and drag on the Upper bar line present on the top of the floating app.
Step 4: You can also make it stick to the corners of your display by selecting the top bar and dragging it to any of the corners of your screen. Now it will minimize the floating app and stick the floating window on that corner. In the screenshot below, I’m dragging it to the top right corner and leaving it.
That’s it you have enabled the floating app window on your Xiaomi Mi 4c.
For older Xiaomi devices with older MIUI version like 9, this floating window app feature won’t be available.
How To Close Floating App Window on Xiaomi Mi 4c
On your Xiaomi Xiaomi Mi 4c running MIUI, to close the Floating Window App, just drag the bottom line below the floating app to the bottom of the screen to maximize the application first. Then go to the recent apps window and close the application.
