  1. Hi Gowtham, I was excited to find your Ninja site when I Googled “WRusr.dll a virus?” My less than two year old Powerspec G706 desktop has been working flawlessly since it was purchased, until three weeks ago. Out of the blue, everything came to a screeching halt, for when I booted up the entire desktop was frozen, including every tool one would use to find a fix, such as the program icons on the taskbar, Start Button, Search field, Ctrl-Alt-Delete, CHKDSK, Add & Remove Programs, Command Prompt, Device Manager, File Explorer and even Task Manager, not to mention Webroot, Malwarebytes, and AVAST. All the tech support people at MicroCenter felt I had a hardware issue, until I discovered that I can access all of the above without any issues, by creating another user account, which suggests that the main user account has a virus. To make a long story short, I began running virus and malware checkers to see if they could find the culprit and Avast kept saying that WRSA.exe and WRusr.dll are infected and need to be quarantined. So when I saw your webpage heading “Is WRusr.dll … a Virus or Malware”, I thought that I finally found the answer. Unfortunately, I couldn’t go any further than step one that says, “click on the columns field and add Verified Signer as one of the columns”, for I cannot locate Verified Signer anywhere as a column choice, at least in my Task Manager. Perhaps that is because I can only run Task Manager from the guest account. So, I am keeping my fingers crossed that you have an easy answer and I can complete all of the steps you’ve outlined above. So, I really need your help with this for your website is the only hope I’ve found in the past 3 weeks. Plus, I rely on this computer for my livelihood, and need to get back to work before we go bankrupt. Thanks a million, Paul

    1. The only way to fix it now to reinstall the OS on your G706 desktop freshly so the virus will be erased.
