Method 1: Get Smartphone id using an Android App
You can download a simple device id app from the google play store. Once you open the app your device id will be listed there. You can copy it and use it easily from the app.
Method 2: Using adb developer tool
you can also get your device id without using any apps from the app store. Simple you have to install the adb tool on your pc and enable USB debugging on your android phone and connect your phone to your pc via the USB cable.
Then open the command prompt window and Enter the following command in the command prompt window and hit enter.
adb shell settings get secure android_id
This will give your device id on the same command prompt window itself. You can copy it easily using the Ctrl + C button.
Is device ID same as IMEI?
No a device ID not the same as IMEI number. Device id is used by application to keep track of their usage info and download info like total download count. IMEI is a unique id used in networks used for processing voice and data in your phone.
