Chkdsk /f /r g:

4. The dirty bit will be unset now as it takes you through the five stages of the scan. Now execute:

fsutil dirty query g:

5. Windows will now confirm that the dirty bit is no more on the drive. 

6. Reboot to see if the issue has been fixed. 

Method 5: Run ChkDsk on External Drive

If you have some external drive, you must disconnect it and see if the issue resolves, or run ChkDsk on the external drive to locate the problem. 

Method 6: Opt for Alternative Disk Error Checking Tool
