Snapchat is one of the apps that let’s you easily talk with friends, view news,etc. There can be times when you need to save a snapchat story or chat.

There are two main methods to take a screenshot on snapchat they are

  1. Taking a Screenshot with Notifications
  2. Taking a Screenshot without Notifications

How To Take Screenshot On Snapchat

Step 1: Open the snapchat screen which you want to take a screenshot.
Step 2: The method for taking screenshots varies depending on your phone

  • If you are using iphone then press and hold the power and home button simultaneously.
  • If you are using Android mobiles then press and hold the power and volume down button (Most flagship Android phones like Samsung Galaxy Series) or power and home button (Nexus Series, HTC One) at the same time.

Step 3: As soon as the screenshot is captured, the other user will be notified. The screenshot will be saved to your phone’s gallery.

Take a Screenshot on Snapchat without anyone knowing

Step 1: Go to the setting and then turn on the airplane mode.

Step 2: Snapchat should display a red bar at the top of your screen which indicates that the snapchat is in offline mode. Confirm that the snapchat is in offline.

Step 3: Then Open the snapchat screen or story of which you want to take a screenshot.

Step 4: Press the Power and Home buttons at the same time to take a screenshot.

Step 5: Log out of the snapchat app and also close the app in your phone task manager or switcher menu.

Step 6: Wait till complete closing of the application and now turn off the airplane mode.

Step 7: The snapchat image of which you have taken a screenshot should not say screenshot next to it. Now the other person usually won’t even know that you’ve opened it. You can now open it as usual.
