Google has removed the Data Saver option on desktop application due to some reason. But we can enable it using a third party Data Saver Extension. Let’s learn how.

Open google chrome extension store and search for “Save Data – On” or visit this URL directly.

Now click and install the Data Saver extension application.

After installation. This data saver extension will automatically enable compression for supported websites so you can save on your data while travelling or when using a minimum data plan.

How to Turn on Data Saver on Android.

On your android phone open the Chrome browser application.

Then click on the settings option and go to advanced section.

Now tap on the Data Saver ( Now Called Lite Mode ) option.

Click on the Lite Mode toggle button to turn it on.

Now your internet data will be compressed before it will be shown on your mobile.

You can also see a graph statistics about how much data was saved by selecting more icon and choosing the settings option and tapping on Lite Mode.
