1. Make sure you’re logged in OneDrive with the correct account

Also, your drive must have enough space to store and sync files. Mostly your OneDrive would be on your C drive. However, wherever you’ve placed it initially, you can always change the location (if you are running out of space in that initial place). 

• Open the Notification bar on your Windows 10 computer. Here, you will find the OneDrive icon on the far right of the taskbar.
• Right-click on the icon and click on Settings.
• Go to Accounts > Unlink this PC.
• Then Log in with the right credentials.
• Select a new location and Sync once again. 

2. Update Microsoft OneDrive App

6. Enable OneDrive configuration to start at computer startup

To enable OneDrive configuration do the following steps.

• You will find the OneDrive icon on the far right of the taskbar.
• Right-click on the icon and click on Settings.
• Now, check (if not already checked) the Start OneDrive automatically when I sign in to the Windows option.
• Press OK.

7. Reset OneDrive

Sometimes all that is required is resetting the OneDrive to make it free of any unwanted memory, temporary settings, or just a fresh start. Default settings must work well under most circumstances. You must go to Start and type Run. Now in the run box, execute the command:

%localappdata%MicrosoftOneDriveonedrive.exe /reset

OneDrive would re-appear after disappearing in a minute or two, but if it doesn’t, you can execute:

%localappdata%MicrosoftOneDriveonedrive.exe

Reinstall OneDrive

To re-install OneDrive, make an uninstall, invoke the Run box, by Windows key + R  or Start, and type Run. Execute the following commands.

%LOCALAPPDATA%MicrosoftOneDrive

Now at the location, you must run the installer for OneDrive. 

If nothing of the above works, or if the OneDrive icon is still missing from the system tray altogether, you must uninstall, and then reinstall after making a fresh download from onedrive.live.com.
