- First, you have to switch off your Pixel 4 XL before doing a hard reset.
- Once your Pixel 4 XL phone is switched off, press the Power button and Volume Down button at the same time.
- Hold the two buttons together until you see the android recovery mode screen appears.
- Use the Volume buttons to scroll through the modes like Restart Boot loader, Start, Power Off, Recovery Mode. And select the Recovery Mode option and press the power button to confirm.
- Once your pixel restart and show the Android bot logo. Now press the power button and while you are holding it press the volume up button to enter the Android Recovery mode.

- Go to Settings and scroll down and select the “Backup and Reset” option.
